Millstätter See

A half-hour drive away from the cabin is the holiday area of Millstätter See. It's famous for its lake fun and cool places to visit. Millstätter See is Carinthia's second-biggest lake, stretching 12 kilometers long and 1.8 kilometers wide. With the deepest spot going down 141 meters it is Carinthia's deepest lake. On the north side of the lake, you'll find bigger towns like Seeboden, Millstatt, and Döbriach, perfect for starting your hikes in the surrounding Nockberge Mountains. The southern shore is natural and almost untouched. And in summer, the water can warm up to a toasty 26 degrees! Visit Strandbad Millstatt for a 3, 5 or 10 meter dive into the lake.
